Women of faith – Awaiting the Groom
Women of faith (known as WOF) falls under the FBO (Faith Based Organisation) category. We are a registered NPO (Reg no: 089-680-NPO ) operating in South Africa (Johannesburg). ABOUT US Women of faith (Wof) is a society of Christian women who aim to encourage, uplift, comfort and help each other and other women in Christian faith, through intercessions, bible study, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in community based projects until Christ’s return. Community projects includes visiting and assisting in: -Orphanages -Elderly homes -Hospitals and -Jails In our visitations we offer prayer and the Word of God. We also offer assistance with our hands by cleaning, doing laundry, ironing and feeding. We are depending on member’s contributions and donations to provide food, clothing and assistance with shelter. Wof is a society that will continuously work to ensure that candles of faith do not die out, keeping watch for the return of the Groom (Matthew 25:13). WHO CAN JOIN WOF?
GRANDMOTHERS Grandmothers are welcome as the saying goes “indlela ibuzwa kwabaphambili” (elders know better) I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. (2 Tim. 1:5) This faith first lived in our grandmothers; therefore we need them to pass it on to us. MOTHERS (Jer. 9:17-20) This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Consider now! Call for the wailing women to come; send for the most skilful of them. Let them come quickly and wail over us till our eyes overflow with tears and water streams from our eyelids. The sound of wailing is heard from Zion: 'How ruined we are! How great is our shame! We must leave our land because our houses are in ruins.' " Now, O women, hear the word of the LORD; open your ears to the words of his mouth. Teach your daughters how to wail; teach one another a lament. The LORD is calling for us women to come to Him in prayer and wail for our land, for our government for our families and for our kids. He also trusts us as women to teach our daughters to wail to Him by sitting on His feet and being moulded into what He as God wants. YOUNG ADULTS, TEENAGERS and LITTLE GIRLS (Luke 10 :38-41) At the Home of Martha and MaryAs Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better and it will not be taken away from her." As a lady or as a teenager, there is nothing better and good for you than to sit at the Lord’s feet and listen to what He has to say to you. But if you choose to be Martha you will end-up hurt and confused. We at WOF encourage young women to seek the Lord at their youth, and to explore the joys of having a fellowship with Him at a young age. This also builds a good foundation for their marriage life to come. All these girls are welcome in order to experience the joys of having their lives hidden in Christ as girls. The Little Children and Jesus (Luke 18:15-17) People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." Little girls are also welcome, to come and be fed the Word at a young age and to be told the meaning of being rooted in Christ. This will lead to positive mature women of God. CHARACTERISTICS OF WOF

Women whose lives are Word founded Women who have faith in God Women who are trustworthy, reliable and faithful Women who have a caring heart Women who have a giving attitude in terms of time, love, hands and finances.
